Support for Organisations with Volunteers

The Volunteer Centre aims to recruit volunteers for local organisations. We can offer support through training and regular contact and have access to useful publications for anyone working with volunteers.

We can publicise your opportunities within the Centre, during promotional events and through the national volunteering database www.do-it.org.uk and we will help volunteers to find the placement that suits them best, to ensure both you and your volunteers have a positive experience

The Centre will provide support, advice and assistance for both you and your volunteers during their placement

Why involve volunteers?

Volunteers have enthusiasm and commitment and can allow your organisation access to new resources and increased networking. Volunteers can also bring a greater breadth of skills and experience and provide a greater degree of community involvement.

To register your organisation and / or volunteering opportunity with the Volunteer Centre please complete the Organisation / Opportunity registration form and e-mail it to:-

We ask that organisations keep us informed of any changes e.g. if opportunities have been filled or no longer exist, as well as updating us on any new opportunities.
